Ford boosts EcoSport line-up with new Titanium variant

FORD Philippine­s is expanding its Ford EcoSport portfolio with the launch of the

With the introducti­on of this new variant, we are giving our customers another option to enjoy the mini-SUV and its street smart capabiliti­es,” said Ryan Lorenzo, assistant vice president for marketing, Ford Philippine­s. “The EcoSport 1.5-liter Titanium combines the performanc­e of a new powertrain and the segment-leading features of the Titanium variant to provide a differenti­ated urban driving experience that only the EcoSport can offer.”

Powerful and fuel- efficient engine

The new EcoSport Titanium variant offers

- mance with the new and powerful 1.5-liter Twin Independen­t Variable Camshaft Timing (Ti-VCT) engine mated with the new 6-speed automatic transmissi­on, allowing for smoother and faster accelerati­on and better fuel economy.

Advanced safety features and DATs

The EcoSport 1.5- liter Titanium is experience safer and more comfortabl­e. It has smart keyless entry, power sunroof, rear view camera with rear parking assist, as well as six airbags to ensure maximum driver safety.

Other safety features include hill-start assist control, electronic brakeforce distributi­on system, electric power-assisted steering, electronic stability control, and anti-lock braking system.

Smart technologi­es for driver convenienc­e

It is also powered by SYNC 3 that allows drivers to keep their eyes on the road and hands on the wheel while staying connected. SYNC 3 features voice control for the entertainm­ent system and the driver’s calls

on SYNC 3 also allows passengers to use their favorite smartphone applicatio­ns via the SUV’s 8-inch colored touchscree­n. It also has a 7-speaker audio system.

Refreshed look, inside out

The EcoSport 1.5- liter Titanium has a ground clearance of 209 mm and its exterior features a refreshed grille, a new hood design, headlamps and 17-inch alloy wheels.

The new variant is also more adaptable with added smart storage spaces. It can handle a load of up to 1,178 liters, with 25 smart storage compartmen­ts for coffee cups, smartphone­s, tablets, umbrellas, bottles and other accessorie­s. Its trunk is spacious enough to accommodat­e luggage for out of town trips for city dwellers.
