Apollo Air blasts rivals in Davao Eaglemasters Golf Tournament
TEAM Apollo Air won the centerpiece Championship Flight of the 11th Davao Eaglemasters Golf Tournament on September 19 to 22 in Davao City.
Apollo Air, comprised of Lloyd Labrador, Ely Bisera, Alexander Bisera, Johndie Quibol and Ronel Tagaan, finished with a 425 points total from rounds of 133-153-139 at the South Pacific Golf, RPV Golf Club, and Apo Golf.
The tournament ran for three days with one day of rest.
Team IMG, composed of Misaichi Otake, Marty Ilagan, Ray Sangil, Gab Macalaguim and Ace Stehmeier, finished second with a 398.
Rizal Memorial Colleges, made up of Raul Minoza, Vince Lusterio, Julius Langgamin, Boboy Jaraula and Jack Mabaylan, finished third with a 394 aggregate
Tagaan was also declared overall gross champion with 110 points while Bisera took home the runner- up plum with a 108.
Rancho Palos Verdes ( RPV) teams Salami and Rigen- Capa emerged as top teams.
Salami’s dominated Flight A with a total of 373 points from rounds of 113- 150- 110.
Two- handicapper EJ Casintahan towed Salami with his 104, supported by teammates Jong Tan, Jing Tan, Jericho Bajo, and Addy Briones. Briones and Bajo contributed 102 and 85, respectively.
Second placer UBI- Tapa King- Nike TGIS of Apo Golf was composed of Karloz Alba, Jorge Martinez, Monchit Mackay, Alrey Ceniza and Patrick Tan. UBI- Tapa King scored an aggregate of 348 points from rounds of 103- 129- 116.
AIP Construction Golf finished third with 341 points from rounds of 114- 122- 105- 341.
Casintahan also finished second in Class A ( gross) with 104 points ( 29- 43- 32) while
nBriones took the Class A net plum via countback against Roy Nudalo after both finished with similar 117s.
RPV Rigen- Capa team, composed of Regino Capa, Brian Davila, Paul Garcia, Wendell Adlao and Andy Ugdoracion, dominated Flight B with 312 points ( 105- 111- 96).
Green Jacket A ( 94- 108- 95- 297) finished second followed by Rap- Nueda Builders ( 94108- 95- 294).
Team Travellers Insurance 2 won Flight C with 251 points followed by Bandido ( 236) and Beta Spring ( 224).
Mimosa Wednesday Group ruled the Seniors Flight with 506 points. Sany Team- Boing MTRL ( 497) and Pugo ( 489) finished second and third, respectively.
Davao Eaglemasters President Leo Magno and tournament chairman Randy Cadiongan facilitated the awarding rites at the RMC Petro Gazz gymnasium on September 22.
