Muntinlupa receives 40-bed quarantine facility; puts Barangay Putatan under ELCQ

A40-bed quarantine facility in Barangay Sucat, Muntinlupa was turned-over to the local government recently to augment its efforts in curbing Covid-19.

Mayor Jaime Fresnedi graced the ceremony and thanked Reckitt Benckiser Philippines Inc. for funding the construction of the facility and partnering with the city in the fight against Covid-19.

Members of the Philippine Navy (PN), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and Philippine Army (PA) have also helped in constructing the fully airconditioned facility with toilet and bath and separate nurse station.

Meanwhile, the Muntinlupa City government placed a community in Barangay Putatan under lockdown due to a spike in Covid-19 cases.

Mayor Fresnedi approved Executive Order 22 s. 2020, placing a 15- day enhanced localized community quarantine (ELCQ) in Block 35 Excess Lot, Soldiers’ Hills Village, Barangay Putatan since 12 p.m. of June 23 until 11:59 p.m. of July 7. Three roads leading to the community have been closed.

As of June 21, the City Health Office ( CHO) has recorded 10 Covid-19 cases in the area with eight active cases and two recoveries while eight probable causes
