Lazada celebrated Pride Month with ‘Pride is aLIVE’ show

-

PRIDE Month was definitely not canceled as Lazada, together with Publicis JimenezBasic and Spark It!, hosted an extravaganza live show entitled “Pride is aLIVE,” hosted by beauty vlogger Johnrey Almonte aka @johnreyslife, a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ and morena community, advocating beauty for all genders and colors.

“Pride is aLIVE” was livestreamed in-app on LazLive on June 27 at 6:00 p.m. where members of the

LGBTQIA+ community showcased spectacular pride-themed activities. There were drag performances and tutorials by drag queens KatKat Dasalla and DeeDee Holiday. There was a special song performance by American Idol Season 11 Finalist Jessica Sanchez. There were pride-themed workout classes by 808 Studio and Ride Revolution. Also, members of the community “marched from home” to the beats of DJ Joey Santos.

Leveraging LazadaForGood,

Lazada’s digital giving platform, nonprofit and nongovernment organizations LoveYourself and Bisdak Pride were also onboarded to drive awareness about providing HIV testing and treatment alongside the LGBTQ+ community.

To amplify the #PrideForGood message, talented illustrators Betsy Cola, aka @betsy.cola; Jer Dee, aka @jer.dee; and Jouache, aka @jouache, also lent their artistic interpretations of love in specially designed heart badges with their message to the public. For just P143, the number signifying “I Love You,” consumers were able to directly donate to the causes of the LGBTQ+ NGOs and were handed the heart badge design.
