‘PBB’ alumni host ‘Bida Star’ online star search
“PINOY Big Brother” Season 8 teen housemates Karina Bautista, Aljon Mendoza, Ashley Del Mundo and Tan Roncal are ready to showcase their hosting talent for the second season of online star search, “Bida Star Gandang Naturally Fresh.”
According to the four “PBB” alumni — now loveteams known as “KarJon” and “AshTan” — landing this project is close to their hearts having gone through the same experience of auditioning to join showbiz.
“We’re happy because we know the feeling of going to auditions and experiencing the process of reaching our dreams to become an artist. Two years since trying my luck in ABS-CBN’s talent search Star Hunt then entering ‘PBB,’ I remembered all of my sacrifice. In the end, it paved a way to where I am now and I am happy to host ‘Bida Star’ again and be of help to reach other aspirants’ dream,” Mendoza said in the show’s virtual press conference.
Bautista, a returning host along with her on-screen partner, also shared, “We did not expect this opportunity.
We became hosts the first season and now we’re back, we’re thankful for this blessing. ”
Meanwhile, Del Mundo said she is honored and grateful for the opportunity to be one of the new hosts, and is excited to share her year’s worth of lessons in the biz with the contest hopefuls.
“Before joining showbiz, I had a lot of expectations but instead,what I learned is to keep striving and exploring your talents because there might be something else you’re meant to do,” enthused Del Mundo.
Tan seconded, “My advice to aspirants is to believe in themselves and test their limits because that’s the only way you’ll do better.”
