Come see Dong and Marian’s ‘Bonggang Villa 2.0’
STILL overwhelmed by the record-breaking box office returns of their 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival entry, “Rewind,” top reel and real-life couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera are set to make their TV sitcom comeback via “Jose and Maria’s Bonggang Villa 2.0!”
The reigning Kapuso Primetime King and Queen are finally reopening the doors of the fictional but fun-filled bed and breakfast Kapuso viewers beginning Saturday, January 20.
In this much-awaited follow-up, lovely couple Jose (Dantes) and Maria (Rivera) once again face the challenge of bringing Mommy Janice and Lolo King’s BnB business back to life. This time, though, a more tricky twist awaits them.
From last season’s P500,000 quota, the couple must raise a whopping P1 million for the hotel. They realize that the challenge is not just more expensive the second time around, but more difficult with serious competition from a new rival, the Bed & Breakfast @ Tiffany’s.
Produced by GMA Network, in collaboration with APT Entertainment, the Kapuso Royalties themselves are also back as co-producers of the series.
The show also stars Benjie Paras as Mr. Nero, the peculiar all-around guy of Bonggang Villa; Pekto as Sol Banayad, a hotel personnel and notorious former akyat bahay; Shamaine Buencamino as Mama Au, Maria’s sharp-tongued mom; and Pinky Amador as Mommy Janice, Jose’s socialite mom.
Also returning this season are Johnny Revilla as Lolo King, Jose’s grandfather; Hershey Neri as Marielou, Maria’s amusing assistant; and Lou Gonzalez as Buboy, Bonggang Villa’s reliable caretaker.
Completing the powerhouse cast is no less than Pokwang as Tiffany, the rival BnB owner.
“Jose and Maria’s Bonggang Villa 2.0” premieres tomorrow and will air every Saturday at 6:15 p.m. on GMA Network.
