PASIG CITY TIES UP WITH NINJA VAN PH
NINJA Van Philippines, a leading tech-enabled logistics provider, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Pasig City to strengthen the city’s burgeoning e-commerce scene.The alliance aims to foster initiatives that prioritize security and business continuity and streamline delivery experiences for residents and businesses.
The signing was presided over by Pasig City Mayor Victor Ma. Regis “Vico” Sotto, with councilor Simon Tantoco, who heads the City Council’s Committee on Trade, Commerce and Industry, and Assistant City Administrator and Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion Officer Diego Santiago.
Ninja Van was represented by its Country Head Jose Alvin Perez, Chief Commercial Officer Sabina Lopez-Vergara, and Head of Legal and Security Claro Paulo Ortiz.
“We are excited to partner with the Pasig City local government on efforts to boost e-commerce in the city. Our very first warehouse here in the Philippines was in Pasig City, so this truly is meaningful, and we look forward to helping Pasig’s micro, small and medium-scale enterprises to help them become more competitive in a rapidly evolving e-commerce landscape,” said Lopez-Vergara.
“We are looking forward to harnessing synergies with Ninja Van to unlock opportunities for Pasigueños in the e-commerce sector. After all, it is not every day that we see local government units collaborating with logistics and e-commerce players for policy development,” Sotto said.
Ninja Van Philippines’ partnership with the Pasig City government is the company’s latest nation-building initiative in collaboration with local and national government bodies. Ninja Van has been working with the Department of Trade and Industry to build capacity among micro, small and medium-scale enterprises. It was also the first private courier partner of the Supreme Court of the Philippines.
