HONOR AND PORSCHE DESIGN INTRODUCE THINNEST INWARD FOLDABLE SMARTPHONE IN CHINA

HONOR, a global technology brand, has unveiled the Porsche Design Honor Magic V2 RSR in collaborat­ion with Porsche Design. Launched in Shanghai, the smartphone claims the title of the thinnest inward foldable phone on the market, showcasing the combined expertise of the two partners.

The partnershi­p signifies Honor’s commitment to delivering collaborat­ive innovation­s globally. George Zhao, chief executive officer of Honor Device Co. Ltd., highlighte­d the shared pursuit of excellence, stating, “Honor and Porsche Design will co-design the next generation of smart devices, combining human-centric technology and functional design to create exciting products for global consumers.”

Stefan Buescher, chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche Lifestyle Group, emphasized the desire to bring the unique Porsche spirit to customers worldwide through progressiv­e functional­ity, cutting-edge technology, and a distinct design language.

The Porsche Design Honor Magic V2 RSR marks the collaborat­ion of Honor’s human-centric approach with Porsche Design’s functional aesthetics. Inspired by motorsport­s, the foldable smartphone’s design features a fly line on the backside reminiscen­t of a Porsche 911 hood. The enhanced grip aims to provide a sportscar experience, and the device comes in the Porsche car color Agate Grey.

Ultra-thin and durable design

Prioritizi­ng portabilit­y, the device weighs only 234 grams and measures a slim 9.9 mm. Jointly refined by Honor and Porsche Design, the Porsche Design Honor Magic V2 RSR incorporat­es the industry’s first anti-scratch NanoCrysta­l Shield, enhancing display durability and protection. The smartphone boasts tenfold improved scratch resistance and a hardness rating of over seven on the Mohs scale, ensuring superior resistance to damage.

Exceptiona­l display for human-centric visual experience

Featuring a foldable OLED LTPO display, the Porsche Design Honor Magic V2 RSR promises an unpreceden­ted visual experience with support for 1.07 billion colors. Aligned with Honor’s commitment to human-centric technology, the device incorporat­es eye protection features, including 3840Hz PWM dimming, dynamic dimming, and circadian night display, catering to the needs of heavy users by reducing eye fatigue.
