POWER INTERRUPTI­ONS IN MANILA FEB 4

PARTS of Manila will experience power interrupti­ons on Sunday, February 4, at different times, the city government, through its Manila Public Informatio­n Office (MPIO), announced on Thursday.

The MPIO quoted the power distributo­r, Manila Electric Co. (Meralco), as saying that the brownouts were due to renovation­s being carried out in the city, such as the replacemen­t of electric poles and the installati­on of additional lightning protection devices along M. Adriatico and Leveriza Streets in Malate.

The scheduled brownouts would be from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Affected areas are:

– Part of M. H. Del Pilar Street, from Windy Ridge Hotel Manila to Quirino Avenue (including Admiral Hotel Manila, Aspire Tower, Baywatch Tower, D Circle Hotel and Armada Hotel Manila)

– Part of Quirino Avenue, from M. H. Del Pilar to M. Adriatico

Street (including Madre Ignacia Street and Leonel Waste Management Compound)

– Part of Madre Ignacia Street from Quirino Avenue (including FSC Training Center, McDonald’s, Malate Catholic School, Altoha Building, Victoria Court, Hotel Victoria and Carolina Building

– Part of M. Adriatico Street from Quirino Avenue (with Malate Bayview Mansion Marbella Building) along Roxas Boulevard.

Areas which will experience power interrupti­ons from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. are:

– Part of M. Adriatico Street from Quirino Avenue (including Asuncion Street, Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, Manila Zoo, Suntrust Adriatico Gardens Condominiu­m, and Intership Navigation Training Center Dormitory

– De La Salle University Manila and Mang Inasal along Taft Avenue.
