3D street art enhances family fun at South Park District

-

AS February ushers in Arts Month, the vibrant South Park District, a 6.6-hectare master-planned community of residential and commercial developments, eagerly unveils its latest attraction: captivating 3D paintings, transforming the neighborhood into an interactive canvas. These imaginative artworks, which went up on February 3, offer families a unique opportunity for creative exploration amidst the beauty of nature and home.

In collaboration with talented local artists, the company behind South Park District curated these remarkable 3D paintings, enriching the district’s existing art installations. Among the creative minds behind this endeavor are members of Guhit Sudlungan, the winning team of visual artists from the inaugural 3D street painting competition in 2011, along with other esteemed artists.

Tess Tatco, the Avida Land marketing head, expressed enthusiasm for the newest additions to the neighborhood. “We’re proud to showcase the incredible talents of our local artists,” she shared. “Visitors to South Park District can immerse themselves in the joy and inspiration that visual art brings.”

Renowned artist John Mark Saycon said he was happy to have the opportunity to collaborate once again with the company, emphasizing the significance of their initial win in 2011.

Similarly, Melanio Bulautian 3rd expressed the excitement of sharing their craft with the public as students and highlighted the competition’s invaluable exposure.

Meanwhile, the 3D paintings at South Park District breathe life into the essence of “Part City. Part Nature. Pure South.” One artwork, led by Emil Aldrine Alarcon, depicts a lush flower garden with butterflies, while another, spearheaded by Neil Defeo, showcases a green roundabout amidst a cityscape.

Tatco encourages visitors to experience the magic of these paintings up close, inviting future residents, property seekers, and the general public to South Park District in Alabang for a one-of-a-kind experience.

“Afterwards, they will surely enjoy a visit to the Avida Towers Ardane showroom too,” she ended.

?? ?? Big-time fun. The paintings appear carved into the very ground itself, giving what is actually a two-dimensional image a sense of depth and tangibility against the surrounding landscape.
