PH’s biggest health and wellness expo by Watsons a success
LEADING health, wellness, and beauty retailer, Watsons attracted thousands of customers and guests at the country’s first and biggest health and wellness expo. Titled “The Watsons Health and Wellness Expo 2024,” it was held at the SM Megamall Megatrade Halls from February 1 to 4.
The four-day expo gathered 52 brand booths that bustled with interactive activities, offering visitors a chance to explore the wide range of products and learn about them straight from experts.
“The expo’s goal is first to communicate Watsons as the destination for health and wellness. We would really like to reinforce that Watsons is your wellness partner,” Jared de Guzman, Watsons Philippines customer director, said in an interview.
“Last year, we had the Fit Fest and then a marathon, but we said we wanted to make it much more accessible to many more people. So, we came up with the biggest health and wellness consumer event. What’s fantastic about it is customers have exclusive deals here – it’s leveled up. And apart from the knowledge that Watsons is the health and wellness of the destination, we also wanted to create awareness about our wide range of products available,” he added.
Besides the booths, the expo offered free health consultations, informative and educational talks, wellness sessions, and pharmacy services under the “Click & Collect Express” feature. Customers also won up to P1 million worth of prizes via raffle and enjoyed discounts of up to 70 percent on health and wellness products.
Moreover, the expo served as a launch pad for people who want to kickstart their health journey, keeping real with Watson’s battle cry: “Look Good, Do Good, and Feel Great.”
Meanwhile, Unilab, Watson’s biggest health partner in the
Philippines, also supported the event by offering exclusive deals and surprise guests.
“Watsons and the Unilab group have always had a solid and collaborative partnership. We believe that all Filipinos deserve the right to have quality health care to enable them to do so for themselves and their family,” shared Andrew Donn Manuel, Unilab’s assistant vice president for Sales.
Besides Unilab, other participating brands at the expo included Watsons Generics, Watsons Brands, Belo, Goli, P&G, Cetaphil, Sanofi, QuickFX, Mead Johnson, Salonpas, Difflam, Centrum Kids, Pharmaton, Lipton, Emco, Skinny Mamas, Sofy, and more.
On the other hand, celebrity guests like Anne Curtis, Jessy Mendiola, Kristine Hermosa, Kuya Kim, Francine Diaz, Gabby Concepcion, and other brand ambassadors were also spotted sharing their health and wellness journeys. Moreover, health experts from top brands and medical associations discussed timely health topics throughout the four-day event.
The participants immensely enjoyed all the activities and brand talks, which, in turn, were led by Jo Villablanca, coaches Roco and Martin, Pinoy Fitness, Rope Flow PH Wandergym, WeKenRun, PhilTRA, Spartan Ravens, and Jump Manila.
