Embracing harmony in career, family, and wellness journey
JESSY Mendiola, recognized as one of the most beautiful faces in the industry and formerly named the sexiest woman in the Philippines, has expanded her roles. At 31, she’s an actress, model, wife to popular TV host Luis Manzano, and mother to their one-year-old daughter, Isabella Rose, known affectionately to netizens as Peanut or Rosie.
“I’m super happy. I’m at a point in my life where I’m like, ‘Lord, thank you.’ I’m just really happy I have Peanut and Luis, my family, and the overflowing blessings from the Lord,” said Mendiola at her launch as the newest brand ambassador of nutrition and vitamin supplement brand Health Fusion Beauty Bunny, held during the Watsons Health and Wellness Expo. However, she admitted that balancing her career and family life has been challenging. “I’m sure it’s the same for other moms. Especially if you’re the kind of mom devoted to caring for your family. I think almost all moms are like that.”
Mendiola explained, however, that she refrains from using the word “balance” as her goal.
“I use ‘harmony’ because, let’s be real. I’m not always fresh; I
can’t always prioritize myself. But that’s life, and it’s OK. That’s why you have all these products to help you with your beauty and wellness.
“For me, the word harmony is perfect. Harmonizing everything in your life – motherhood, family, beauty [needs], time alone and career. Harmony is what makes a great life,” she added.
Mendiola attested that having a skincare and wellness routine is vital in achieving harmony in her life.
“You really have to make time for these habits to feel good and to be healthy. No matter how busy I am, I make sure that I take my vitamins, take care of my skin, and take care of my health by working out and eating healthy.
“You really need to prioritize your overall well-being because if you’re happy with yourself and feeling confident, it will show. That’s the best advice I could give.”

“Luis is so sweet because he said, ‘I think Love, you should have the wedding of your dreams.’ So finally, it will happen. Luis and my family will meet each other for the first time.”
Asked about the wedding preps, she replied, “I’m a ‘Bridechilla,’ I’m a ‘chill bride.’ Whatever feels better, I give the wedding coordinator the freedom to decide.
“Everything’s is coming together already and Peanut will be little bride. It’s very exciting.”
