10 NCRPO police officers sacked
TEN police officers facing various administrative offenses were sacked from the service on Tuesday, upon the order of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
NCRPO Chief Joseph Melencio Nartatez Jr. issued the dismissal order to the 10 police officers — all assigned to the NCRPO headquarters in Bagong Diwa, Taguig City.
The police officers were three middle-grade officers, a ranking officer, four police sergeants, and a corporal.
Based on General Orders GODS-2024-2441, the sacked police officers were identified as LtCol. Jolet Tutor Guevara, Majors Jason Domingo Quijana, John Patrick Oxales Magsalos, and Cpt. Sherwin Clete Limbauan.
Also ordered axed were EMS Arsenio Kayoyog Valle, Staff Sergeants Mark Jinon Democrito, Danilo Lasona Desder Jr., Roy Galang Pioquinto and Christian Cureg Corpus, and Cpl. Rexes Ursolum Claveria.
Nartatez said the police officers committed various administrative offenses ranging from grave misconduct, grave irregularity in the performance of duty, and grave neglect of duty.
He said the dismissed police officers also faced charges ranging from conduct unbecoming of a police officer, less grave misconduct, and grave neglect of duty.
Reports said the sacking of the 10 policemen was linked to the illegal arrest of Chinese nationals in Parañaque in September last year.
A total of 985 police officers have been sacked since President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ascended to power.
The PNP leadership continues to rid the organization of “rotten eggs” as part of its cleansing process.
PNP chief Gen. Benjamin Acorda Jr. said the number is part of the 3,932 police officers who were meted disciplinary sanctions for various administrative cases and involvement in irregularities.
