OPM acoustic icons to hold first collaboration concert

-

GET ready to be serenaded like never before as three of the biggest names in the Philippine acoustic scene come together for a fresh musical treat this February. It is all about acoustic music for Ice Seguerra, Joey G, and Noel Cabangon, who are stripping it all back, equipped with only their beloved guitars and soothing vocals.

OPM fans get a triple dose of nostalgic feels this February 23 as their first-ever collaboration concert, “Strings and Voices: A Threeology Series,” presents a dazzling display of live acoustic performances and heartfelt lyrics at the Newport Performing Arts Theater (NPAT).

From charming through the silver screen as a child star to captivating the music industry as a renowned musician, Seguerra’s journey has been a string of 35 successful years. The former child wonder shifted to music and scored a major hit in 2001 with the single “Pagdating ng Panahon.”

On the other hand, Joey Generoso, or simply Joey G — counted among the Philippine music scene’s first-rate singers — continues to strum a fascinating musical journey. Moving on from the Side A band in 2015 to pursue a solo career, the former lead vocalist has also gone on to form a new band and make more music.

For the veteran musician Cabangon, it could be his soulful voice or the rather touching melody of “Kanlungan” that made him among the most recognized voices of the OPM acoustic movement in the late 1990s. Since then, the singer-songwriter’s music has been the soundtrack of every generation.

The talented trinity of the Philippines’ acoustic circuit is set to unleash their combined brilliance and best-loved songs in a heartwarming concert experience that lingers long after the final chord.

Tickets are now available at all TicketWorld and SM Tickets outlets.
