Didipio Mine turns over CDF projects

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya: More than P21 million worth of Didipio Mine community developmen­t fund (CDF) projects have been completed and turned over to recipient communitie­s in Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino provinces.

Desiree Baldevino, Didipio Mine External Affairs and Social Performanc­e superinten­dent, said the projects consist of a multipurpo­se building (MPB) and six farmto-market roads (FMRs).

Baldevino said the MPB which was turned over to Barangay Pacquest in the upland town of Kasibu was the first ever constructe­d MPB under the CDF of Didipio Mine. Barangay chief Dison Agmalis was present during the turnover ceremony.

Another completed project was the 220-meter farm-to-market road in Barangay Muta which connects to Sitio Angetsin, also in Kasibu town.

Baldevino said the project was turned over to the community led by village chief Agosto Pantal.

In the neighborin­g town of Quirino province, two more FMR projects were turned over to the beneficiar­ies in the capital town of Cabarrogui­s.

The first was the 230-meter long FMR which extends from Purok 3 to Purok 6 in the village of Villa Peña. This was turned over to the community through its village chief Nolibert Carbonel.

The other was the 247-meter-long road project at Purok 4 in the village of Villamor, turned over to the community through village chief Greggy John de la Peña.

Also in Quirino province, three other CDF-funded FMR projects were turned over to the three beneficiar­y villages.

Baldevino said two FMR projects were turned over to Maddela town’s villages of Dumabato Sur and Dumabato Norte.

The first was the 260-meter-long FMR with mixed aggregates shoulders located at Velano Street that was turned over to the community through Dumabato Sur village chief Primitivo Pacudan Jr.

The other was the 108-meter long FMR with clearing and embankment at Lapu-Lapu Street, Purok 4, turned over to the community through Dumabato Norte village chief Emilio Quidpoan Jr.

Didipio Mine has recently allotted more than P136.66 million worth of projects under the company’s CDF program for the provinces of Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino.
