Newport World Resorts hands PNP over P10M worth of donations

-

WITH the support of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (Pagcor), Newport World Resorts made a generous contribution to the Philippine National Police (PNP) by equipping its force with new patrol motorcycles as well as fuel and maintenance funds.

Amounting to P10 million, the newly acquired assets would be used to enhance patrolling efforts and increase police visibility in the Pasay-Parañaque area.

“This is part of a bigger project together with our industry counterparts in the Entertainment City to equip our local police force [in order that] they can better serve and protect our communities, especially in the Pasay-Parañaque area. We are honored to do our share,” Newport World Resorts President and Chief Executive Officer Kingson Sian noted.

Newport World Resorts handed over 18 units of Honda CB500F big bikes and provided additional funds to cover their fuel and maintenance expenses.

The patrol vehicles were intended to ramp up the operational capacities of the PNP, particularly in Pasay City and Parañaque City, where the integrated resorts’ community was located.

The partnership with PNP was initiated through Pagcor with funding support from Newport World Resorts Foundation Inc., exemplifying their shared commitment to advancing safety and security within the integrated resorts’ community.

Under Pagcor’s nation-building mandate, all Philippine integrated resort casino licensees were required to establish a foundation to fund various programs on corporate social responsibility.
