THE Museo Enzo Ferrari in Modena unveiled its latest exhibit, the “Ferrari One of a Kind,” last February 18. This showcase pays homage to the meticulous craftsmanship inherent in each bespoke masterpiece crafted within the Ferrari factory gates, courtesy of the company’s exclusive personalization program available at its Tailor Made centers in Maranello, New York, and Shanghai. Open to the public, the exhibition unveils the exclusivity of these unique vehicles, each reflecting the personality, preferences, and aspirations of individual Ferrari owners.
The tradition of uniqueness has been ingrained in Ferrari’s production ethos since its inception. From the earliest GT racing cars tailored for gentleman racers to the pioneering approach enabling clients to customize colors, materials, and finishes of their production road cars, Ferrari has consistently offered personalized experiences. Today, the company provides a spectrum of personalization programs ranging from the Atelier service, offering a wide array of options, to the Tailor Made program, providing innovative materials and bespoke solutions, culminating in bespoke special builds, creating unparalleled one-offs in every aspect.
Ferrari One Of a Kind offers visitors a captivating journey. Beyond showcasing extraordinary cars, including several never-before-seen models, the exhibition offers an immersive dive into the exclusive personalization programs enjoyed by Ferrari clients. At its core lies an interactive wall, allowing visitors tactile interaction with materials, fabrics, colors, and an extensive range of options from the Ferrari Styling Centre, facilitating the effortless creation of their dream car. Among the private one-off cars on display are: Ferrari 812 Competizione Tailor Made: This unique vehicle, featured on the exhibition poster, epitomizes Ferrari’s Chief Design Officer Flavio Manzoni’s clean-slate approach. The showcased car, the first in a limited edition special series of just 999 examples, was auctioned at a Ferrari benefit gala in New York in October 2023.
Ferrari 166 MM: An elegant masterpiece from 1948, this car, bodied by Carrozzeria Touring, showcases meticulous craftsmanship tailored to the taste of its owner, Gianni Agnelli. Its dual-tone blue and green paintwork reflects the owner’s ties to the Italian royal house, Casa Savoia.
Ferrari Monza SP1: The inaugural model of the Icona limited-edition special series from 2018 reinterprets classic style with contemporary elements, as shown by its original gold livery and transverse stripe reminiscent of 1950s and 1960s racing cars.
Ferrari Daytona SP3 Carbon Look: This pays homage to sports prototypes features an extraordinary natural-finish ruby red transitional carbon-fiber, offering exceptional chromatic reflections. Visitors can engage in an interactive area with a special car configurator to envision and design their dream Ferrari.
The exhibit will feature regular updates throughout 2024 to offer visitors a diverse array of one-of-a-kind cars.
The Ferrari museums, drawing Prancing Horse fans and tifosi alike, witnessed record-breaking attendance in 2023, with over 740,000 annual visitors between the Modena and Maranello museums.
In keeping with tradition, the One of a Kind exhibition at the Museo Enzo Ferrari in Modena debuted last February 18, marking Enzo Ferrari’s birthday, and will run until Feb. 17, 2025.
