BGR goes to TNT in 3-team trade
THE PBA has approved a threeteam trade involving Blackwater, NLEX and TNT with 2022 top rookie overall pick Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser as the centerpiece deal on Monday, February 26.
The trade begins with NLEX shipping Ganuelas-Rosser to Blackwater in exchange for the Bossing’s big men Ato Ular and Yousef Taha, along with their Season 51 first-round pick.
Blackwater then moves Ganuelas-Rosser to TNT in exchange for Frederick Tungcab, veteran slotman Justin Chua and the Tropang Giga’s Season 51 first-round draft pick.
The Office of the PBA Commissioner approved the three-team deal on Monday.
Blackwater team owner Dioceldo Sy said he is happy with the trade, especially having the 6-foot6 Chua into the team, whom he calls a “lucky charm,” along with an added gunner in Tungcab.
“I’m very happy with the return of Justin Chua. Remember he was our lucky charm in our first ever championship in the PBA D-League against the powerhouse NLEX team before we both graduated to PBA in 2014,” Sy told Manila Times. beef up our wing position as he’s an ex-Gilas member.”
NLEX team governor Ronald Dulatre thanked Ganuelas-Rosser for his contributions in his short, one-year stint with the team.

TNT meanwhile, added size to its front court, which has been decimated by injuries in the Commissioner’s Cup in absence of Poy Erram and Chua at that time, due to separate injuries.
Ganuelas-Rosser played just five games for NLEX in the Season 48 Commissioner’s Cup after recovering from stress fracture on his leg late last year.
He went on to average 8.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.8 blocks for the Road
Warriors.
