DAMOSA LAND DETAILS MINDANAO EXPANSION PROJECTS

- BRIX LELIS

DAMOSA Land Inc. (DLI) is looking to boost its expansion in Mindanao with the scheduled launch of at least three projects — two residential and one office development — this year.

“Aside from the very strong growth that we’ve had over the last 20 years, [we would like to highlight] how we’ve grown ... as one of the leading developers in

Mindanao,” Damosa Land President Ricardo Floirendo Lagdameo told reporters on Wednesday.

“We have been, for quite a long time, a company that’s been an advocate for foreign direct investments in Mindanao and one that’s really been a builder of communities,” he added.

Next month, the Davao-based real estate developer is set to start construction on Agriya Gardens, a low-density, high-end residential community located inside the company’s 88-hectare Agriya township in Panabo City, Davao del Norte.

Macy Bibat, the company’s assistant vice president, said they were hoping to complete the project in the next five years.

The new residential development will feature 13,000 square meters of open space, along with strategically placed social areas within a linear park.

This will be followed by the launch of Kahi Estates, the developer’s first agri-residence that will “champion wellness and embrace multigenerational living” while integrating modern Filipino architecture.

“For Kahi [Estates], we started initially already, but in terms of launch and selling, we’re starting that in April. That will be completed in the next three years,” Bibat noted.

The company will then launch in June the Regus Damosa Diamond Tower — its fourth coworking space — which is aimed at providing office space solutions for professionals from diverse industries.

Lagdameo said Damosa Land had allocated P1.5 billion for capital expenditures in 2024. This year’s budget is 50 percent higher compared to the actual spending of P1.0 billion in 2022.
