ON February 17, Wilcon Depot Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Rosemarie Bosch-Ong shared the company’s efforts to champion sustainability in shaping the future of the construction industry.
The theme, “Build for tomorrow: Shaping the future of construction through sustainability,” gathered business leaders, entrepreneurs, sustainability practitioners, and the like to discuss building a greener environment and managing the mounting construction waste.
Bosch-Ong highlighted Wilcon’s commitment to integrity to the 5 Ps, which are Process, People, Profit, Product and our Planet.
The company believes that demonstrating integrity toward the planet helps minimize the environmental footprint and also encourages other businesses to safeguard natural resources for the benefit of future generations.

Utilizing renewable energy, Wilcon had 50 solar rooftops installed, supplementing the stores’ daily energy usage. The company also followed the regeneration of materials or the circular economy, by sourcing products made from recycled materials.
