Rotary International District 3830 to hold Discon 2024 in May
THE Rotary International District 3830 of the Philippines has announced its upcoming District Conference (Discon) on May 10 and 11, 2024 at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila.
A much-awaited annual gathering of Rotarians, RI District 3830 Discon 2024 will have for its theme, “Forging hope. Taking flight,” which conveys its heightened commitment to the Rotary Theme 2023-2024, “Create Hope in the World.”
The two-day event will feature a number of activities including a Rotary showcase, leadership and learning sessions, fellowships, recognitions and entertainment numbers. It targets about a thousand participants comprising Rotarians from the District, Rotaractors (members of youth organizations dubbed Rotaract Clubs created by Rotary International), dignitaries, local and international speakers and other guests.
RI District 3830 Governor Jay Tambunting said that the grand event is aimed at celebrating the Rotarian spirit that constantly strives to make a positive impact in the lives of the less fortunate and the society in general.
“Discon is a Rotarian tradition that this year will emphasize how the members of the Rotary, particularly those in our District (3830), share the same ideals and work together to ‘Create Hope in the World.’ I invite all Rotarians across the clubs in District 3830 to attend this Discon to further their commitment to ‘service above self’ while making beautiful memories together with our fellow Rotarians,” Tambunting said.
Notably, Discon 2024 tickets have been priced at a promo rate of P6,500 each until April 30 before it reverts to its regular price of P7,500.
