Muntinlupa celebrates 29 years of cityhood with smart city vision
AS Muntinlupa eagerly anticipates its 29th cityhood anniversary on March 1, the city is gearing up for a day of celebration and reflection under the theme “Progressive pathways [toward] smart city excellence.”
The anniversary festivities will kick off with a Holy Mass at 6:30 a.m.
One of the highlights of the day will be the partnership of Maynilad and the city government in the unveiling of the Muntinlupa 29th ctyhood anniversary commemorative manhole cover, a symbol of the city’s resilience and progress.
In line with the city’s commitment to health and wellness, a medical mission will be conducted in partnership with the city government, City Health department and Mercury Drug at Barangay Sucat. This initiative aims to provide essential health care services to residents.
Additionally, the day’s activities will include the blessing of the new baseball field at the Sports Complex in Barangay Tunasan, providing residents with enhanced recreational facilities and promoting active lifestyles.
In the afternoon, Muntinlupa will recognize the contributions of its top 10 taxpayers. This gesture of appreciation reflects Muntinlupa’s commitment to fostering strong partnerships with its business community.
The highlight of the anniversary celebrations will be Mayor Rozzano Rufino “Ruffy” Biazon’s State of the City Address, where he will outline the city’s achievements, challenges and vision for the future. Biazon’s address will underscore Muntinlupa’s unwavering commitment to innovation, sustainability and inclusive growth as it charts a course toward smart city excellence.
