MGreen’s Greenergy for Global Inc. kicks off solar power plant proj
GREENERGY for Global Inc. (GGI) celebrated the ceremonial kickoff of its 49 MWac solar power plant in Cordon, Isabela, on February 24.
GGI, a subsidiary of MGen Renewable Energy Inc. (Mgreen), which is the renewable energy arm of Meralco PowerGen Corp. (MGen), is poised to play a pivotal role in advancing One Meralco’s renewable energy goal and in contributing to the nation’s energy security and sustainability objectives.
In his message, MGen President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jaime Azurin said, “GGI is a symbol of progress, innovation, and our unwavering commitment to building a brighter, more sustainable future for all.”
“To the members of our team, partners, suppliers, and to the Cordon community and local government unit, thank you for your patience and support. Your contributions have been instrumental in getting us to where we are today,” Azurin added.
MGen representatives who graced the event were Executive Vice President and Expanding Markets Division Head Dan Neil, Vice President for Business Development Vivek Parmar, and Renewable Energy Operations Head Harry Acaso.
Also present at the event were Joseph Tan, Isabela 4th District representative; Lynn Zuniega, Cordon mayor; Abegail Sable, Cordon vice mayor; Victor Dy, Isabela 4th District Sangguniang Panlalawigan member; Eddie Yaranon, Capirpiriwan Barangay captain; Ruth Briones, president and CEO of Greenergy Solutions Inc.; and Gu Lihao, vice general manager of Sumec International Engineering.
GGI was among the winning bidders in the Department of Energy’s second round of the Green Energy Auction Program.
