P3.4-M shabu seized in Davao

Members of Sasa Police Station collaborat­ed with other law enforcemen­t units here for the arrest of three suspects and the confiscati­on of P3.4 million worth of shabu in separate buy-bust here on Thursday, March 14.

The Davao City Police OffiCE IDENTIfiED THE fiRST ARRESTED suspect as Aycelle Nave Ramin alias Madam, 35, and a resident of Purok 4-A, Kilometer 7.5, Barangay Matina Pangi this city.

Police said an entrapment operation against Ramin was conducted at around 1:42 p.m. THAT LED TO THE CONfiSCATI­ON OF 52.44 grams of illegal drugs with an estimated street value of P943,920.

The same operatives conducted another drug sting near a resort in Barangay Angliongto at around 8 p.m. that led to the arrest of Hamsa Mamosaka Landoc alias Boss, 42, businessma­n and a resident of Moncado Kadingilan, Marawi City, and Nashif Manalocon Hamsa of Lumbaca Macadar, Lumbatan, Lanao del Sur.

Landoc is considered as a top city level drug personalit­y, the police said.

Seized from the suspects were a total of 140.67 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of P2.5 million, one unit Toyota Fortuner, a caliber .380 gun, magazines, bullets and a cellular phone.

The arrested suspects are currently detained at the Sasa Police Station and will face charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165, or the “Comprehens­ive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”

Another case for violation of RA 10591, or “the Comprehens­ive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act,” will also be charged against Landoc and Hamsa.

Police Regional Office-11 Director BGen. Anden Delvo lauded the police operatives and units for the successful anti-illegal drugs operations in the region.
