CREATORWEEK, a new annual festival dedicated to celebrating and championing Asia-Pacific’s music and creator economy, will debut in Singapore from May 6 to 12 this year. The inaugural event will connect content creators, musicians, artists and fans with global business executives from platforms and brands to share ideas, network, perform and learn.

Additional showcases include the CreatorWorld Conference, as well as Learning Matters music and creator academies, and the It’s A Girl Thing festival for young women.

Key highlights

CreatorWeek 2024 will bring Music Matters, Asia’s largest music conference and festival, back to its regular May schedule. It will feature three parts, namely:

– Music Matters conference that will bring together the best and brightest from the music industry, as well as the best new artists from around the region, to celebrate, discuss, debate and come together over our passion for, and the business of, music.

– Music Matters Live to showcase some of the best emerging acts from Asia-Pacific and around the world.

– Learning Matters to help industry newcomers upskill under the expert eyes of established global creators and industry leaders, Learning Matters will present a series of Music and Creator Academies.

It’s A Girl Thing (IAGT), the empowerment platform and touring festival where young women celebrate and are celebrated, will be back to its original home of Singapore, following successful outings in the Philippines and India in recent years.

IAGT features entertainers and content creators who help young women develop a strong sense of self, be empowered, find inspiration and have fun through entertainment, education, and community. IAGT is an event.

Under the Instruments banner, VMI’s soon-to-open Swee Lee Clarke Quay music lifestyle store and experience will play a significant part in the festival.

Jasper Donat, co-founder and CEO of Branded, producer of the event, said: “CreatorWeek is more than a festival; it’s a platform where ideas are born, collaborations are forged, and the future of the creator economy is shaped. We believe in the power of creativity to drive change and innovation.”
