The facets of Seth Corda’s artistry
GALERIE Francesca is proud to present “Facets: The Art of Seth Corda,” an exhibition showcasing Seth Corda’s multifaceted talent and profound exploration of various dimensions within his work.
Through this exhibition, Corda created a collection of series representing his artistic journey, revealing the essence of his identity and the influences that shape his compelling creations.
As a professional architect turned artist, Corda’s creations reflect his architectural roots while offering a contemporary artistic perspective. His meticulous attention to structure, nature, and order shines through in his compositions, where figurative and architectural elements converge into abstract shapes filled with intricate patterns and sharp palette knife strokes.
His architectural background drives his curiosity about “Geometry in Motion,” evident in his use of lines and shapes in this series and his works in general.
“Nature’s Bloom” is the artist’s abstract interpretation of nature, with intricate curves and vibrant colors.
Reflecting Corda’s evolution as an artist, “Endeavor” encapsulates his aspirations and dedication to mastering his craft. This series presents a dynamic interplay of colors and curves symbolizing his continuous growth and pursuit of artistic excellence. Similarly, the series “As the Wind Blows” tells the story of the artist’s journey into painting, unforeseen yet fulfilling.
Through minimalist forms and subtle lines, Corda skillfully captures human emotions in “Graceful Dance.” Each piece from this series becomes the artist’s delicate expression of sentiments, transcending detailed representation to convey the nuances of the human experience.
Delving into the realm of dreams and imagination, the piece “A Touch in the Clouds” blurs the boundaries between figuration and abstraction. Corda’s “Figurative Abstract” is where the tangible merges seamlessly with the fantastical.
These diverse series combined with profound artistic vision show Corda’s different sides and explore the different dimensions of his work to represent who he is and where he came from.
This exhibition runs until March 19 at Galerie Francesca in SM Megamall, Mandaluyong.
