WEAR YOUR (CAR) BRAND
MANY Filipino car enthusiasts are brandconscious. Each has their preferred brand, be it for their daily driver or project cars. A car guy’s love for a brand does not end with the car alone. It can also be reflected in the apparel they wear. Let’s take a look at some of the wearables that could represent your love for your automotive brand.
Casio Edifice x Mugen
If you love fast Hondas, it’s almost impossible that you wouldn’t know about Mugen. Started out as M-TEC, Mugen is the motorsports arm of Honda, helping popularize the brand in the world of racing.
Mugen collaborated with Casio for Honda fanboys to enjoy something on their wrist. The limited edition Mugen Edition Casio Edifice Sospensione ECB-40 perfectly carries the Mugen image. One of its best features is the alcantara band with white stitching attributed to the interior fabric of Type R models. The band also features the classic Mugen power logo along with the Mugen “Eye Commander” symbol.
The whole case is made out of carbon fiber-reinforced resin, which according to Casio, features a design inspired by a Formula car suspension. The matte black dominant color of the Mugen edition Casio Edifice is complemented by Mugen brand colors — white, red, gold and black. This G-Shock for big boys also features a case back engraved with the classic Mugen Power logo.
Gazoo Racing merchandise
Gazoo Racing Philippines has done an astounding job in making the fire of local motorsports brighter, especially with its long-running racing series, the Gazoo Racing Vios Cup. Seeming like a standalone brand itself, Gazoo Racing has garnered the love of many Filipino motorsport enthusiasts. Remember last year’s Gazoo Racing Festival?
With all the love for the brand, it would just be right for fans to wear and sport Gazoo Racing (GR). Well, the brand heard this and made a ton of merchandise that every fan can enjoy. The whole lineup of the GR brand offers a wide range of apparel and collectibles. And when I say apparel, the brand has a crazy lineup. From t-shirts, caps, polo shirts, hoodies, sweaters, pullovers, bags and much more. They even have socks!

Puma x BMW M Motorsport
There is probably not a single car enthusiast who does not know BMW. If your love for the German marque is rooted in motorsports, you probably know that M is the most powerful letter for the brand, signifying some of its highperformance models synonymous with the brand’s racing heritage.
Allowing BMW M fans to wear their beloved motorsport brand when they’re most active, Puma has a long-standing collaboration with the auto brand. Currently, Puma and BMW M Motorsport offer fans 56 sportswear items to choose from. From the classic Puma Suede to stylish driving shoes, and other sports apparel like polo shirts and sweat shorts, this product line has it. The Puma x BMW M Motorsport portable bag is a personal favorite. A sling bag that seems good for daily use. With Puma being well-known for its shoes, the special collaboration product line offers awesome footwear. Porsche Design 50Y Sunglasses
Porsche Design is an exclusive lifestyle brand founded by the designer of the original 911 himself, Ferdinand Porsche. A couple of years back, Porsche Design launched its 50th anniversary collection, celebrating the studio’s establishment in 1972. The brand launched an array that every Porsche fan would surely love to have one from in their wardrobe. Currently, Porsche Design’s online website offers eight exquisite items from the 50Y collection but my personal favorite is the 50Y Sunglasses P’8942. Made from titanium, this simple yet sophisticated pair of sunglasses from the 50th anniversary collection promises function as much as form. It has openly constructed spring hinges contributing to a high level of wearing comfort. Personally, it oozes the classic 911 aura, not much fancy design, just pure sexiness. Yup, on a pair of shades.
Oh, and what makes this special is, like some of the pieces in this global collection, this pair is limited to 1972 pieces only worldwide. It makes for an exquisite (and pricey) conversation starter during car and coffee meets.
