BEAUTY enthusiasts are in for a treat at the first-ever BeautyCon 2024, happening over at the SMX Convention Center.

“BeautyCon brings together for the first time Watsons, Look and SM Beauty brands in one room. We offer immersive beauty experiences, amazing promos and deals that are exclusive here,” Sharon Decapia, Watsons Senior AVP for Marketing, PR and Sustainability, said in an interview on the second day of the event.

“This is a must visit. There are about 135 diverse brands from skincare, personal care, hair care, cosmetics, fragrances, even electrical and beauty tools — from the most affordable to the most premium. This is really the melting pot of beauty. Our goal is to elevate and inspire the beauty experience of our customers,” Decapia added.

On the second day of the event, Watsons put the spotlight on its globally owned brands and exclusives (GOBE) namely, Glamworks, Hair Treats, Body Treats, Watsons Own Brand, Watsons Baby, and Naturals by Watsons.

These high-quality beauty products are designed to enhance beauty routines while maintaining affordability and high quality.

To help promote the GOBE brands, Watsons invited personalities to discuss more about the products and the promos — beauty content creator Sofia Jarling for Glamworks, Hair Treats and Body Treats; TV personality and actress Kaladkaren; ‘Mommy Diaries’ creator Ciara Magallanes; and GMA’s Sparkle artist Rain Matienzo.

Glamworks, Hair Treats and Body Treats

Sofia Jarling doesn’t let her busy schedule affect her hair and skin negatively. Among other things, she said she relies on her favorite products.

“I like to amp up my beauty routine with Hair Treats Hair Spa for my hair. It really leaves my hair smooth and bouncy and not to mention, it smells really good compared to using only shampoo. As for my skin, I like using Body Treats Rosy White Body Lotion to keep my skin hydrated and smooth all the time,” she said at the special segment in BeautyCon 2024.

Jarling added that Glamworks, Hair Treats and Body Treats are also perfect for the summer season.

“Of course it’s important to use SPF this season but don’t forget to hydrate your skin and treat your hair with great products from these brands. They have damagefree hair colors, hydrating lotions and refreshing fragrances to leave us glowing this season.”

Watsons’ own

Another GOBE line put on the spotlight was Watsons Brand, which includes oral care, shampoo and body wash among many other products.

With Watsons Brand, shoppers can save up to 80 percent compared to leading brands,.

Every Watsons Brand product undergoes rigorous testing to ensure quality and safety, before being launched into the market. Tests include toxicological risk assessment, ingredient declaration, product formulation, allergen list, stability tests, microbiological tests, antibacterial tests, optical brightener tests and more.

“I really love going to Watsons and buying Watsons Brand products. I can get my personal care essentials at a fraction of the cost. Personally, I love the oral care line because we all want a big, beautiful smile, which is crucial whenever I would report [on TV],” shared Kaladkaren.

Watsons Baby

Watsons Baby provide top-quality care for the little ones while ensuring affordability. Watsons Baby Toiletries has no harsh ingredients like mineral oil, parabens, colorants, soap, or SLS, maintaining an ideal pH balance of 5.5 for baby’s healthy skin. Additionally, the bottles are made with 20 percent recycled plastic, aligning with Watsons’ commitment to sustainability.

Watsons Baby Diapers offer great value and savings. They are available in sizes from newborn to XXL, feature a wetness indicator, breathable soft cottony cover, soft elastic waistband, magic tapes, ultra-absorbent core, side leak guards, and are part of Watsons Brand Quality Assured lineup, ensuring they meet rigorous safety standards with 14 tests before launch.

These are some of the reasons why content creator Ciara Magallanes, who specialize in family and home content, swear by Watsons Baby.

“Babies’ skin are sensitive and prone to itching, irritation and rashes that’s why as moms, we should carefully check the products that we are buying,” Magallanes said at the program.

Naturals By Watsons

Naturals by Watsons is a line of beauty products where natural ingredients meet powerful results.

The products are crafted with over 90 percent natural ingredients, embodying the essence of True Clean Beauty. They are certified vegan and are free from harsh chemicals and additives, ensuring a gentle yet effective approach to skincare and haircare.

One of Naturals by Watsons’ avid users is actress-host Rain Matienzo.

“With my work and my recent hobby of running, I do the ‘everything shower.’ It’s when I throughly clean my body from head to toe. The down side is, it can leave my skin dry. But honestly, since using Naturals by Watsons shampoo and conditioner as well as my favorite Argan Oil bar soap, dry skin is no longer a problem,” Matienzo shared.

Watsons, the Philippines’ leading health, wellness, and beauty retailer, is hosting the BeautyCon 2024 until today.
