AS part of his efforts to bolster public health infrastructure and ensure early disease detection in communities, Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go …itnessed the inauguration of the super health center in Barangay Bunsuran 1st, Pandi, Bulacan, on Thursday, March 21.
The health facility is part of a broader initiative to enhance health care accessibility, particularly in terms of primary care services.
During the inauguration, Senator Go, …ho chairs the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, emphasized the critical role of super health centers in the government’s health care strategy, highlighting the need to bring medical services closer to the grassroots.
“The Super Health Center is a medium-sized polyclinic,” he said.
“Here, you can have consultations and primary care. PhilHealth consultations can be done here because all Filipinos are members of PhilHealth. Laboratory services are available, as …ell as birthing facilities. There’s no need to go to a hospital; you can get these services here. Early disease detection is crucial for preventing illnesses. The primary care provided by the Universal Health Care system is A SIGNIfiCANT BENEfiT OF THE SUPER Health Center.”
The senator also outlined the criteria for establishing super health centers nation…ide, ensuring that these facilities are strategically placed to serve the most in need.
Go said that the selection of locations for these centers done by the Department of Health is guided by several critical factors aimed at maximizing their impact on public health.
