Mazda Philippines to offer AutoExe parts and accessories
MAZDA Philippines is set to become the official distributor of AutoExe tuning parts and accessories across the country. Anticipated to hit the market before the close of 2024, Mazda Philippines provided a sneak peek into the MX-5 AutoExe Edition, marking the commencement of this partnership. Collaborating closely, Mazda Philippines and AutoExe are gearing up to expand the car brand’s local product line, starting with this special edition MX-5.
As a highlight of the collaboration, Mazda Philippines is introducing the limited-edition MX-5 AutoExe Edition. With only five units available, each priced at P2.2 million, this variant offers exclusivity. Buyers will receive AutoExe parts valued at over P115,000, installed at no additional charge.
The MX-5 AutoExe Edition, based on the MX-5 2.0L Skyactiv MT (manual transmission) with a black top and black leather interior, maximizes the roadster’s lightweight design and perfect 50:50 weight distribution. Included in the kit are the following AutoExe parts: Tower brace set; member brace set; shift knob; and carbon key cover, all complemented by a special AutoExe badge.
AutoExe, which is headquartered in Tokyo, specializes in tuning Mazda vehicles. Founded by former Mazda works driver Yojiro Terada, known as “Japan’s Mr. Le Mans,” AutoExe’s engineering philosophy is inspired by the Le Mans spirit. Terada’s extensive racing experience, particularly at the Circuit de la Sarthe, has influenced the development of parts designed not only for circuit use but also for everyday street driving.
Further enhancing the driving experience, Takao Kijima, renowned as “Mr. Roadster,” brings his expertise to AutoExe’s engineering team. Kijima, central to the suspension and chassis work on iconic Mazda models like the MX-5 and RX-7, champions a philosophy that prioritizes the fun-to-drive factor, aligning with Mazda’s ethos of Jinba Ittai — a sense of oneness between car and driver.
