JMC hits the ground running with Grand Avenue pickup
ASTARA Philippines recently organized an immersive drive event to introduce its lineup of pickup trucks to be offered in the local market. The event offered the ATTENDEES A fiRST-HAND EXPERIENCE OF THE PICKUPS’ exceptional performance and features.
Held in Tanauan, Batangas, the event showcased the cutting-edge technology and standout features of its soon-to-belaunched flagship model, the JMC Grand Avenue, as well as its smaller counterpart, the JMC Vigus.
Grand Avenue
JMC Philippines’ flagship model is big, brawny and quite the looker. Its large front grille commands attention, and its striking aesthetics extend seamlessly into its cabin that offers high-end features and comfort.
With a 5th-generation PUMA 2.3-liter turbocharged diesel engine under the hood, the Grand Avenue delivers 175 hp and 450 Nm of torque. The top spec is paired with a ZF 8-speed automatic with a select-shift transmission. It has a Borg Warner 4-Wheel Drive System that maximizes its powertrain and off-roading capability, as well as industry-leading high ground clearance and an extended wheelbase.
The JMC flagship pickup is the biggest in its class, with a large cargo volume of 1.35 cubic meters and a spacious cabin measuring nearly 2 meters in width and 1.9 meters in height. It also comes with advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) that ensure convenience and safety across any kind of terrain. These include anti-lock braking system, electronic brake-force distribution, electronic stability control, brake assist, hill descent control, traction control system, reverse camera, parking sensors, among others.
Inside the cabin, creature comforts include high-quality leather seats, keyless entry and one-touch ignition, USB charging outlets, and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The JMC Grand Avenue will launch with 4x4 and 4x2 variants, each with a choice of manual or automatic transmissions. Prices range from P1.221 million to P1.569 million. Available colors are Cosmic Grey, Pearl White, Silver Sand Black, Sandy Brown, and Shining Silver.
Vigus
Astara’s event also featured the JMC Vigus, the brand’s versatile and fuel-efficient pickup suited for business fleet solutions. The Vigus comes with a 4D25 2.5-liter turbo diesel engine that packs a punch with 128 hp and 315 Nm of torque. It also boasts a sleek exterior design, from its striking headlamps, down to the fine lines across its large body and wheelbase. With prices that start just under P1 million up to P1.11 million, it is positioned to be the prime choice for individuals, business owners, and families seeking the best-value-for-money versatile workhorse. The Vigus is available in Elegant White.
