Amosup, Navozyme partner on seafarer digital training

-

THE Associated Marine Officers’ and Seamen’s Union of the Philippines (Amosup) and Navozyme, a leading maritime technology company, recently announced a significant partnership with the signing of a memorandum of understanding.

This collaboration marks a major step toward Amosup’s digital transformation, aiming to elevate the reputation of the union, enhance service standards and, ultimately, improve convenience for its seafarer members.

Amosup was represented by its president, Dr. Conrado Oca, and Navozyme by Anjaney Borwankar, co-founder and chief executive.

The agreement builds upon the successful collaboration between Amosup’s Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP) and Navozyme.

Through Navozyme’s NCap solution, MAAP has already issued its cadets over 5,000 secure and verifiable Blockchain Enabled Electronic certificates (BEEs).

This strategic partnership promises to leverage technology to empower Amosup and its members in the following key areas:

Streamlined processes. Digitalization can significantly improve efficiency in member onboarding, document management and communication.

Enhanced services. Seafarers can benefit from improved access to information, training resources, and support services through a digital platform.

Global recognition. Secure and verifiable digital credentials like BEEs can increase the credibility and recognition of Amosup members’ qualifications internationally.

This collaboration between Amosup and Navozyme positions them at the forefront of innovation in the maritime industry, demonstrating their commitment to improving the lives and careers of Filipino seafarers.
