-

OVER 20,000 participants are expected to run in the Manila leg of the 2024 National Milo Marathon on Sunday, April 28, at the SM Mall of Asia Grounds in Pasay City.

Aligned with the celebration of its 60th year in the Philippines, Milo aims to bring out the inner champion of every Filipino through the National Milo Marathon.

Beyond it being an exciting running event, the fourth leg of the season puts forth the wonders of running and sports as an avenue to inspire and enable families and individuals to reach their full potential and learn good values such as grit, discipline, and teamwork.

“We believe that sport is a great teacher where we learn the valuable lessons that shape us to become successful not just in our athletic endeavors, but also in life,” said Carlo Sampan, head of Milo Sports. “Whether it’s to bond with family, hit personal records, or simply enjoy themselves, everyone has a place in the National Milo Marathon.”

Emerging and seasoned athletes, meanwhile, will vie for the title in the 42K centerpiece event.

Last year’s female winner Maricar Camacho is seeking to prolong her winning streak as champion of the Manila leg.

Jocelyn Elijiran, Welfred Esporma, and Florendo Lapiz are some of the athletes who will go headto-head in the prestigious running event. Notable personalities will also take part in the event such as Commissioner Walter Torres of the Philippine Sports Commission, Milo ambassador Japoy Lizardo, Olympian and multisport icon Jenny Guererro, and former Milo Marathon champions Eduardo “Vertek” Buenavista, Roy Vince, Christine Hallasgo and Allan Ballester.
