The new demands given to us are, at the end of the day, rules to keep us safe, teaching us to be more vigilant and careful. As the daughter of a nurse, I’ve learned that if we work together we can get through this. Global warming makes the world more hospitable to viruses and bacteria. This probably isn’t going to be the last disease that will come our way if we continue to treat the earth poorly. We need to reflect on how to take better care of the earth, so that the earth can take better care of us.

I understand that this is a scary time and everyone’s freaking out. Many have resorted to panic-buying, becoming more aggressive and hateful. In my opinion, it’s very disappointing and depressing. If only we could focus on giving everyone better education, maybe we’d handle the outbreak better—focus on treating the cause and not the symptoms. —YG

“STAY SAFE. STAY CLEAN. EXERCISE TO FIGHT OFF ANY SICKNESS AND RELEASE ENDORPHINS WHICH’LL MAKE YOU SUPER, DUPER HAPPY. EAT HEALTHY TO BOOST YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM AND REFLECT ON WHAT WE CAN DO TO TAKE CARE OF THE EARTH, SO THE EARTH CAN TAKE CARE US”

T o be honest, I’m scared right now because of the daily increase of the infected. What also scares me is that no one knows when this is going to end. I feel like this can go on for months or even a year if it is not handled well. I just hope everyone cooperates.

The most important lesson I learned is that we should all be responsible for our actions—even the younger generation who feel like they’re somewhat immune from this virus. In times like these we must all be selfless. Think about how our actions are going to affect others. No one is immune! Let’s all be responsible and generous in our own little way by praying for those affected, keeping our home tidy, properly washing your hands, stop spreading fake news and practicing social distancing!

I hope that everyone is safe and doing well. Although things are getting tougher I hope that we all still continue to lift our prayers and be mindful of our actions. I seriously believe that the more we cooperate, the faster we can flatten the curve.—KD
