We layer con dence with every garment we wear. Recognizin­g this, the housewife turned entreprene­ur Mags Cue carefully stitched together the concept of what soon became her own clothing empire.

THREADING THROUGH SUCCESS

Hailing from a family with a background in the tailoring business, Mags Cue quickly developed an interest in fashion. This eventually inspired her to open a clothing business named after herself. In 2004, she opened her rst boutique at Limketkai Mall.

O ering a variety of trendy but elegant women’s apparel, footwear, bags, and accessorie­s, Mags quickly weaved itself into the mainstream. After becoming the leading ladies’ clothing store in Cagayan De Oro, it now has 23 branches nationwide.

Since then, Mags has partnered with multiple celebritie­s and national pageant organizati­ons, providing quality clothing items that highlight the individual beauty of the wearers.

ADVOCACY OVER APPAREL

In true Mags Cue fashion, the entreprene­ur continues to prioritize the ethics behind her work over mere pro ts. Twenty years into her success, she says she doesn’t see other brands as competitio­n. Instead, she views this as something uplifting, especially in providing consumers with more clothing options. This certainly ties in with her values of empowering women through fashion.

She also hosts annual nationwide fashion shows called Mags on the Catwalk. Instead of profession­al models, she allows regular clients to walk the runway. The show caters to women of di erent ages and sizes, which is Mags’ own way of boosting their con dence.
