Two new clinics in the metro to answer your skin and body concerns this summer
Summer can be a tricky time for anti-aging. While you may feel at your most carefree, giving in to impulses of soaking up the sun and last-minute beach trips, it is also a time where you should take extra care of your skin and body. While loading up on SPF and eating a balanced diet will definitely pay off, sometimes, we could use a little extra help from modern technology too. We paid a visit to two new clinics in the metro to help you with your antiaging and sculpting concerns.
EASY DESTINATION
A hidden gem tucked in Uptown BGC, REMEDY SKIN SOLUTIONS provides quick, efficient solutions for skin concerns that both men and women face. I got to try one of the procedures they are most known for, the Hollywood Laser Facial (P9500), which is perfect for rejuvenation and anti-aging. The procedure is a combination of a carbon facial and Laser Genesis, which promotes collagen and elastin production to tighten pores and reduce fine lines, wrinkles and acne scars. Throughout each step, there was no pain at all—just gentle motions on the face. The best part? The treatment lasts only 20-30 minutes! Many patients working nearby are said to simply pop in and out the clinic during their lunch break.

Looking for a clinic that specializes on slimming and contouring? Founded by three sisters, KIMREY FACE & BODY CONTOURING LOUNGE provides patients with world-class, minimally-invasive procedures at more affordable prices. Just when you thought you’ve completed your beauty essentials, luxury brand Hermès presents you with something you didn’t know you needed: a beauty line. Named Rogue Hermès, the brand’s first collection is completely devoted to the beauty of the lips. The new Rogue Hermès line includes lipsticks in 24 irresistible hues and is said to be inspired by the métiers of silk and its rich color. The product glides effortlessly on the lips, coming in matte and satin finishes. In addition to this, they also offer a lip care balm, Poppy lip shine, a universal lip pencil and a lip brush in lacquered wood. The products are packaged in noble materials assembled by hand—polished metal in black and white or permabrass gold.
“We approach this new métier in our own way, and with a great deal of pleasure. With products as well thought out as these, it is not that surprising to learn that the line’s design, research and development work was initiated more than five years ago. It was directed by Agnès de Villers, CEO of Hermès Perfume & Beauty, and is a collaborative creation under Pierre-Alexis Dumas, artistic director of Hermès.
The brand’s approach to beauty is fundamental. “It is to reveal and highlight what is naturally there, with elegance, comfort and pleasure. I like the idea of Hermès as an intimate companion, revealing one’s deepest self. I associate Hermès’ beauty objects with self-fulfilment, with the color of an individual’s personality,” says Pierre-Alexis Dumas.
We’ll simply have to wait and see for what else Hermès Beauty has in store. For now, we will keep our pouts pretty with their newest collection.
