LONG BEFORE the words life and style were put together, the Porcelanosa company knew that the home not only is a necessity but a venue for showing creativity and panache. “Yes, we started with tiles, but we always knew that it could be more than just tiles,” says Rally Martinez, who brought Porcelanosa to the Philippines. “I used to be in building and construction so I know just how important it is to have the right materials. That’s where it all starts, that’s what determines everything in construction. But we have so much more. Because all the factories that manufacture our products are all in one place, we can consolidate all the client’s needs, everything can be all coordinated and shipped in just one container according to the area and space it will be used. It saves the client so much time and energy.”

“And when we first built this showroom, we really wanted to offer an experience like no other. We wanted our customers to be able to spend the day here and find shopping for their home actually something relaxing and pleasant, something to look forward to,” Martinez emphasizes. “People told me that it wouldn’t work, that all people cared about was getting a good deal, but we’ve proved them wrong.”

Miguel Soriano, head of expansion and marketing for Asia of the Porcelanosa group, adds, “Somehow, because of the shared history, we are so happy that we are here in the Philippines. As a company, we like to be the avant-garde, we like to set the trend but we never forget who we are. In the same way, we still feel at home here in this country because we know that we have a long history with the Philippines.
