REPORTS from “walkin” informants led to two separate buy-bust operations where operatives seized more than P100,000 worth of shabu on Friday.

Chief Inspector Ricky Obenza, the commander of Tugbok Police Pre- cinct, said the reports of the informants led to the arrest of Chriztine Alas-as Eramis, 26, single, selfemployed and resident of Deca Homes, Barangay Mulig, Toril District, and Vincent Gupit Cañada, alias Bayot, 19, male, single,

make-up artist and resident of Pagkakaisa Street, Brgy. Lubogan, Toril District.

Obenza said “walk-in” informants have been helping the police in eradicating drug traders. Police verified the reports by conducting surveillance on the suspects for weeks before they staged the operation.

Eramis was arrested at 9:40 p.m. Friday after selling a sachet of shabu for P500 to a police poseur buyer.

Police confiscated a pouch containing four sachets of shabu, estimated to worth P95,000. Two cellphones used to contact buyers were also seized.

Cañada, on the other hand, was arrested in Samantha Homes, Barangay Bago Gallera, Talomo District after selling a sachet of shabu to a police poseur buyer for P500 at 9:30 p.m. Friday.

Two other sachets of shabu worth P25,000 were also seized.

The arrests, Obenza said, will reduce the supply of illegal drugs in the districts of Tugbok, Talomo, and Toril where the suspects sold illegal drugs. By Rhoda Grace B. Saron
