EASY EXERCISE ACTIVITIES:

-

TAG THE TAIL

Have every student wear a piece of cloth or paper around his/ her waistband. Once the game starts, every student must collect as many tails as possible for 15 minutes from fellow classmates without getting his or her own tail taken. If their own tail is taken, they must jog in place and try taking a tail from passersby. This game develops endurance and agility.

SIGN LANGUAGE TRAIL

Have the students arrange themselves in several rows with 4-5 students in each row. The student at the front of each row will be the sign maker and his task is to make a three-second dance move that the student behind him must copy. Then, he must relay the dance move to the student behind him and so on, until it reaches the last student in the row. If the last student fails to copy the dance, all of them in that row must do 10 jumping jacks. Progress by having the second student in the row to be sign maker until all of the students in that row become sign makers. This activity develops endurance, leg strength, stamina, and mental alertness.

THE JUMPY HANDSHAKE

Every morning, ask every student to shake the hand of 4-5 students. The trick is to do 3-5 hops per handshake. This increases agility and mental alertness in the morning. (But do remember to wash hands before and after this activity!
