Local athletes eligible

Division Sports “CAPIZ, Roxas City and Coordinato­r DepEd-Aklan Aklan’s athletes [who will] play in the 2017 Palarong Pambansa t o be held at Binirayan Sports Complex, San Jose de Buenavista, Antique, I declare all of you eligible,” said Jamaica Rangiris.

The ocular was held at Department of Education (DepEd) Aklan Division Office, Arthur S. Juada Hall, Kalibo, Aklan on March 23 to 24. The ocular committee was headed by Rangiris, special investigat­or III, DepEd central office, and medical officer Dr. Rainerio Reyes, members of the National Screening and Accreditat­ion Committee ( NSAC). With them were members of the Regional Screening Committee (RSAC) headed by Ervin Bansa, investigat­or officer II, DepEd regional office; with Melchor Kim Kwan, MD; Hannah Guerra, DMD; Ma. Naheda Pagulayan; Rogelia Saolaturio; J erry Grozen; Leofefelle Morcoso, Ph.D.; and Marlon D. Andrada.

There are 72 athletes and 32 coaches, assistant coaches and chaperons from Aklan while Capiz and Roxas City have 30 athletes and nine coaches, assistant coaches and chaperons.
