Panay News be distributed among the municipality’s three major projects: P130 million is intended for the port development and operation, P80 million for the new government building, and commercial and economic centers, and P40 million for the public market.
The Supreme Court has suggested that Dumangas will take over the cargo handling at the port, Golez added.
“We are preparing for the port operation since the Supreme Court has ordered the town of Dumangas to take over the cargo handling activities at the port,” he said.
Golez stressed that the International Cargo Terminal at the port only handles international cargo vessels. Local cargo vessels are being managed by the local government unit.

o an d co n s t r u c t i o n o f warehouses.
“The concretion of the port pavement and the warehouses will help make the port become more convenient,” he said.
Golez also clarified that his proposal has no feasibility study because he wants his Sangguniang Bayan to participate in conducting the study.
“I want them to participate so that they will know the things needed, the things that we need to add,” he said./
