Local club leads 6th PNP Aviation Security Firing tilt
ILOILO City – The 6th PNP Aviation Security Unit Proficiency Firing tilt, led by Speedmasters Club Inc., was held at the Central Iloilo Practical Shooting Association Range in Sta. Barbara on May 17 and May 19.
In the annual tourney, all personnel shot three duty related stages with ten rounds per stage for a total of 30 rounds.
“This project has been going on since the unit was still at the old airport at Mandurriao, Iloilo City,” shares GM Nelson Uygongco, president of Speedmasters Club Inc.
The program aims to improve the shooting skills of the airport police and promotes camaraderie and closer relationships with civilian shooters.
The club has also mounted similar projects with the ICPO Public Safety Company and with the City SWAT unit. With the club’s initiative, the ICPSC now has two reloading machines to cater to their practice needs.
The list of the results of the proficiency firing was submitted to the chief of the 6th Aviation for their evaluation.
The range officers who officiated were Phillipp Chua, Litoy Surria, Deken Chua and GM Nelson Uygongco./
