SP to conduct hearing on proposed legislative district

BACOLOD City - The C o mmittee o n L a ws, Ordinances a nd Good G o v e r n ment o f t h e Sangguniang Panlungsod of this city will conduct a committee hearing on the proposed creation of a new legislative district in this city.
Councilor Caesar Distrito, committee chairperson, said Cong. Greg Gasataya requested the opinion of Mayor Evelio “Bing” Leonardia and the members of the Sanggunian on the proposed redistricting of Bacolod City.
Also invited in the hearing are the City Administrator’s Office, City Planning and Development Office, City Legal Office, City Engineer’s Office, City Assessor’s Office, Department of Public Works and Highways - Bacolod
Vietnam and Brunei recently imported around 5,000 and 400 heads, respectively.
Meanwhile, Masculino revealed that OPA has already submitted a request to the provincial government to purchase new vehicles.
The budget i s around City Engineering District, Department of I nterior and Local Government, Commission on Elections, Philippine Statistics Authority and the 61 barangays of this city.
“The committee, before making a report, will conduct first series of hearings on the proposed redistricting,” Distrito said.
“We would also like to hear t he sentiments or opinions of the stakeholders on this proposal before we will discuss and formulate our unanimous opinion. It would be good if all the opinions and the voice of all sectors will be incorporated in the report to be submitted to the SP and will be forwarded to the Senate and the House of Representatives,” he added./
