Man stabs driver

BACOLOD Ci t y – A public utility jeepney ( PUJ) driver was injured after he was stabbed on Sunday in Barangay Banago here.

The 58- year- old Roldofo Sablan, a resident of Barangay Handumanan, was driving his PUJ plying the Banago- Libertad route when he stopped in front of a store to buy cigarettes.

BACOLOD City – A 49-year- old man was killed after his motorcycle crashed against another motorcycle around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday in Sitio Tongog-tongogan, Barangay 1 in Hinobaan town.

Felipe Tonika De Jose, a resident of Purok 3, Barangay 1 in the town, sustained fatal head and body injuries.

He was rushed to Don Eleuterio Decena Hospital but was declared dead around 6:10 p.m. on the same day.

Archun Delprado of Barangay Banago approached him and stabbed him for unknown reasons, police said.

Sablan sustained stab wounds on his left arm, palm and leg and was brought to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital for treatment.

Delprado is still at large as of this writing./

Police Senior Inspector Joemel Gonzaga said the victim was driving his Rusi 100 motorcycle travelling from Barangay Bacuyangan to the town proper when he was hit by a Raider 150 driven by Jade Sarona, 25, of Barangay 1 also in the town.

Sarona was also on his way to the town proper when the incident happened. He is currently confined for treatment at a hospital in this city./
