Sea Garden Resort
hosts Leganes’ 11th Biray Paraw culmination
THE POPULAR seaside destination Sea Garden Resort – along the Iloilo Coastal Highway in Barangay Camangay, Leganes – hosted the culmination night of the 11th Biray Paraw Festival with sunset cocktails and a party on Sunday, June 25.
With the theme “Sail high to progress Leganes: Connecting people to nature,” the annual event celebrates the municipality’s history of sailing and its people’s coastal livelihood.
Coined from biray-biray (recreational sailing) and Iloilo’s iconic paraw (a traditional double outrigger sailboat), the Biray Paraw Festival – now on its 11th year – was commemorated from June 19 to 25, with several different activities, among them an eco-walk and coastal cleanup drive, a biodiversity exhibit, and the highlighted biray-biray sailing race.
Sea Garden hosted the momentous occasion by hosting a “Sunset Cocktail Party” held alongside the awarding ceremony of the annual festival. The event featured local musical guests DJ Psy and MC Flappy as well as performances from the Leganes Power Dance Group.
Located along the province’s Coastal Road, Sea Garden Resort and Hotel offers breathtaking views of the Iloilo shoreline, Guimaras Island, and Siete Picados. For inquiries you may call 0918 911 9162 or visit their Facebook page (@ seagardenresort).
