The study further showed t hat t here i s 46 percent l ower risk of developing and 52 percent lower risk of dying from cardiovascular diseases, and 45 percent l ower risk of developing and 40 percent lower risk of dying from cancer.

There are 16 barangays in Kalibo. These barangays have two- lane roads.

Bautista- Sucro said the SB passed a r esolution requesting the Municipal Engineering Office and the Department of Public Works and Highways to conduct a feasibility study on putting up bike lanes in these roads.

“I f many c o u l d u s e bicycles as a primary mode of transport, we can minimize air pollution here in Aklan’s capital town,” said Bautista- Sucro.

Kalibo is the home of Ati- Atihan Festival, which i s considered the “Mother of all Philippine Festivals.”/
