- By: Phoebe Diaz

A Marian organization-initiated project brings the Church and the Government together.

Church, Laity and Government leaders in Iloilo have recently become partners for “Call to Nineveh and a Kabalaka Partnership,” a project of the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (FLIHM) enjoining all sectors of society towards a proactive, resilient and sustainable community addressing disasters and risks through natural and supernatural means.

The project was officially launched by FLIHM through the Marian Associations, Movements and Organizations (MAMO) of the Archdiocese of Jaro on Nov. 24, 2017 at the St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Jaro through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by Iloilo Provincial Gov. Arthur D. Defensor, Sr., Iloilo City Councilor Ladie Julie Grace Baronda, FLIHM President Mr. Roberto G. Pamplona, Archdiocese of Jaro Representative, and MAMO President Emma Victoria, and witnessed by Archbishop Angel N. Lagdameo, D.D. and some institutional and local government leaders. The next day (Nov. 25) gathered the laity from around the Archdiocese at the Diamond Jubilee Hall, Department of Education Division of Iloilo City.

Through the project, “The world will be saved by the Philippines and the Philippines by Iloilo,” said FLIHM Grand Duchess Mrs. Nerissa P. Pamplona, in her speech during the launching. She is also thankful to the Iloilo government for its cooperation.

To raise awareness, the 2-day gathering was infused with talks and video presentations that stress the project’s salvific cause. The speakers were Dr. Rene Josef Bullecer, Vice-President, CBCP Commission on the Laity on “Churchapproved Apparitions and the Messages of Our Lady and their Relevance Today”; Rev. Fr. Joenick Territorio, J.C. D., Program Director on “The Purposes of Prophecies”; Dr. June Pearl Sanson, Fellow and Diplomate, Philippine Academy of Physicians on “Poison in Modern Warfare”. Mr. Jeremiah Vardeleon of FLIHM and the University of San Agustin also gave video presentations.

Also present was Dr. Dolores Octaviano, President of Doctors for Life (DFL), and Dr. Gracia Malazarte, Principal of Montes I Elementary School in Lapuz as emcee. The gathering was also graced with a special dance number from the students of the Exploring Minds Academy of Learning.

To aid the willing faithful in surviving the difficult End Times, and the salvation of souls, FLIHM has distributed “Salvation Kits” containing seeds for self-sufficiency and spiritual effects such as “True Purpose of Suffering and Death: as the Greatest Expression of God’s Agape,” the “Eternity Passport,” a modernized version of the “Examination of Conscience,” and the Rosary, among others. The poster of the last vision of Sister Lucia is also included which according to Mrs. Pamplona, explains the benefit of belonging to the family of the Holy Trinity with the Blessed Virgin Mother.

Through the Salvation Kits and devotions such as praying the Rosary and First Saturday devotions, as a collective effort of reform, following in the steps of the story of Nineveh in the Bible, FLIHM believes that the project can save more souls.

Through the Salvation Kits, family value formation through Psycho-spiritual integration (PSI), and devotions such as praying the Rosary and First Saturday devotions, as a collective effort of reform, following in the steps of the story of Nineveh in the Bible, FLIHM believes that the project can save more souls.
