THE school-based management is a way of the central or field office of the Department of Education in entrusting individual schools when it comes to making choices on specific things that affect the schools like student learning outcomes, upgrading the learning experience, enhancing the school management and administrative processes, and strengthening the resiliency of schools that are at a disadvantage.

This decentralization of power is done through the School-Based Management grant. But for this article, we are only focusing on learning outcomes.

According to the study conducted on year 2016 by the World Bank Group which tackled things such as public education expenses and the assessment of the quality of service that are in relation to education, the things needed for the effective execution of School-Based Management system are already there but many aspects of the system are not being implemented by the schools.

Also, stakeholders, namely the parents and local communities do not have much involvement in making decisions and in making the schools accountable.

This led me to conclude that it is not easy to conclude what the effect of School-Based

Management would be unless we would look at how the school allows the stakeholders to help them make decisions for the school as one of the factors.

Although it is stated that it is school-based management, the other stakeholders should be involved in making decisions for the school because education contributes to the success of the members of the community because of the things teachers teach the people.

The combination of the insider information of the people who work for the school and the things that those who do not work for the school can notice because the latter is not preoccupied with working for the school is a good one because it allows the respective parties to see things through a different perspective which leads to a deeper understanding of things and, when it comes to brainstorming, sensible contribution of ideas.

By encouraging the stakeholders to take part in school-based management, conflicts would be more likely to be settled quickly and there will be an opportunity for both parties to ask questions to deepen their understanding on their respective plans, rules, and concerns. With a broader understanding of things, it would be more likely that decisions would end up being the best one. ( Paid article)
