What some people don’t understand about teamwork
FOR some people, teamwork is cheesy. Not everybody can go with the flow because they have personalities that are in contrast with those of the majority. Other people would consider it overrated because they are the type who are focused while working and able to set aside personal things to perform tasks excellently.
But teamwork does wonders for all members of an organization, whether or not the results directly affect or involve them.
Teamwork makes working easier because it would be less awkward when you assign tasks or ask for the help of someone else as long as you are diligently doing your share of the work consistently.
Teamwork really helps make people feel at ease when working because there is no jealousy, there is no level of competition that reaches a personal level, there is no feeling of anxiety, there is no feeling of paranoia because you know you have each other’s backs and you are in one cohesive unit, and there is a sense of organizational pride being committed to the team.
Teamwork allows collaboration to be less awkward because there is a feeling that the sharing of ideas and the desire to perform excellently is not an act of trying to be better than another person, but an act of devotion
to the achievement of the goals of the organization. This allows people to suggest things to the management no matter how serious it is – as long as you are courteous, you choose the right words, you sound calm, and you suggest using proper means and in proper timing.
Teamwork also l essens the boundary or setbacks in mentoring opportunities because the feeling of trust, comfort and love for the organization will make people do anything beneficial to the organization with the utmost commitment and happiness.
Teamwork can also be applied to stakeholders outside the organization. In fact, this is badly needed because it is harder to build the team spirit with people that you do not spend much time with and are not in the same organization or building you are for certain hours of the day. (
