My hope, my dreams and my aspiration

- By Lanie G. Bello,

TODAY’s trend of young generation bears a lot of complicated environment, community and family issues. Their mind seems to be so busy thinking of the things that is happening around them. They need guidance from adult whose values and perceptions in life can inspired their minds. Their exposure to social media should be screened and only positive values program will be aired for them.

We are aspiring for what is good for our young generation for as what we always believe, “They are the hope of our nation. This notion is still our guide on how are we going to battle the prevailing issues of our society, corruption from our government, poverty, criminalities, and the most rampant is the problem on drugs. We are doing our best to focus our teaching on the positive side of our children’s mind but the environmental influence that huddled in their mind what made them curious. We always believe that parental guidance is the best remedy to this occurring problem.

As an educator, a mother, a sister, a friend of the masses, I am optimistic on influence of parents to the lives of their children. We are the best example. We are the first and the best mentors of our kids. Work is always there. Money is what we need to survive. But we will always remember that the future of our children lies in our hands. What the family bestowed to a child will be the aspiration of our community and the hope of our nation.

According to William James and I quote, “Your hope, dreams and aspiration are legitimate. They are trying to take you airborne, above the clouds, above the storms, if you only let them. This passage connotes a bigger challenge for the young generation. The hope is there, they have their dreams and aspiration, but how are they going to surpass the filthy world is a big question. How passionate we are in dealing with them as they grow but we are not the holder of their minds. We embed them to walk on the right directions, to follow the footsteps we aimed for them, but even hallowed are their belief, they tend to traverse the wrong path that put them into misery.

Begin the battle anchored to their

needs and focus to it. Let us be their stewards, their guiding light, so that we can produce a generation full of hope, with fruitful dreams and with aspiration to become the future superman of the country. Becoming all these is not easy, cannot be achieve in just a glimpse of our eyes. This fight will only be achieve if we will work together, the family, the school, the local government and the church will join together and focus in one direction, education our children to the way they should be and when they will become older, they will not depart from it.

Nevertheless, our children despite of their vulnerability, we have to listen to them, we maybe their only shoulder to lean on, we are the person they can be trusted, so let us not devoid their dreams, instead join them in winning their battle. Allow love, commitment and determination comes into their hearts. Let this be their guiding principles and let them feel that they are part of this complicated world that they can be of great contribution to the welfare of the many.

We will build this world in unity. Our children as our inspiration and our hearts is filled with hope, to dream what we ought to achieve and aspire that all of this can build the best nation. We will hope that this will not be a dream but a dream come true not only for our aspirations but for the whole village of those children whose life was encompass in the wrong directions. (
